Potential Tornadoes Sweep Through Tallahassee
Severe Weather Outbreak Continues to Impact Millions
The Weather Channel's Jim Cantore took to Twitter to share radar images of what he described as two radar-indicated tornadoes in the Tallahassee area. As part of a deadly multiday severe weather outbreak, a large swath of the capital city was under a tornado warning until 11:15 am. A separate tornado warning was also issued for Crawfordville.
Residents captured footage of the damage, which included downed trees, damaged property, and debris flying through the air. As of Friday morning, May 10, 2024, the outbreak has impacted millions across the US. The National Weather Service continues to monitor the situation and provide updates as they become available.
